I love spring for so many reasons – first and foremost being the commencement of nearly nine gorgeous months of running outside. Heaven. On. Earth. Another reason I love spring? SPRING CLEANING! Now, if you’ve been following my blog via The Animal Kingdom website, you may have already picked up on some of my Type-A personality traits, and my OCD-style thoughts on cleaning. Since spring is a season of renewal, I love nothing more than to spruce up the house, do some gardening, and get rid of things that are simply taking up space around our house.

Spring Parks

Spring has arrived in Happy Valley, at least for the time being. With the first golden rays of springtime sunshine peaking through the windows, my entire household bolts out to the nearest park to soak up the sun. We are lucky that Centre County has so many great local parks...

Bear, Bat, or Bumblebee

So the other day while I was saying “farewell” to our tree ornaments and Christmas lights, it occurred to me that I can’t imagine raising our daughter anywhere else. She’s a lucky lady to grow up in a place where she will get to know and hopefully love all four seasons. My plan, as her mom, is to do my best to avoid negative seasonal commentary...
